The Mandala Ceiling project highlights 20 mandalas from a variety of tantric practices. These are all part of, The Ocean of Tantras, a collection of  sixty-eight mandalas from a rare Jonang Tradition text called the Gyu De Gyatso (rgyud sde rgya mtsho). These images are from Choje at Dzamthang monastery. Each mandala that is sponsored will be approximately 2 meters wide. You can write a dedication for it that Rinpoche can pray for on Saka Dawa when we consecrate the space. Please write a message when you make the donation.

Practices for the 21 Taras are upheld in all the traditions of Tibetan buddhism. Each of these 21 emanations is associated with a specific mantra. Together, they provide a full array of excellent qualities to help us quickly overcome any obstacle to our path. Caring for sentient beings with motherlike love, the 21 Taras are like a net of wish-fulfilling gems. Their practice helps whatever beneficial conditions are desired or needed to emerge swiftly. Traditionally, practices of specific Tara forms among these 21 are offered in response to situations to which their qualities may be uniquely suited.

In the specific context of the Jonang Tradition, in the last century, Mati (Lodrö Drakpa) composed an extensive practice ritual connected to the 21 Taras as a mind terma called the “Drolmi Kazug Puja,” which has also been translated as “The Precious, Excellent Wish-fulfilling Vase”, or “Tara Puja for Prosperity”.
