Celebration of Dolpopa’s Parinirvana
Join us for five nights of Dharma practice in honour of the Omniscient Dharma Lord, Dolpopa Sherab Gyaltsen. Each night, we will be reciting Dolpopa’s “Sadhana for Avalokiteshvara” with extensive praises to Avalokiteshvara and verses introducing the definitive meaning of the beloved mantra OM MANI PADME HUNG. We will also spend a portion of each session reading from Dolpopa’s previous life stories as the great bodhisattva of compassion. On the last night we will be dedicating all of our merit through the offering of a Guru Puja and Dolpopa’s prayers to be reborn in Shambhala.
This event is offered freely by the Suchandra Institute as part of our ongoing mission to bring the profound teachings of the Dzokden Dharma into the world as a cause for giving rise to a golden age of peace and harmony.
If you would like to offer support to Suchandra so that it can continue to organise and provide free events like this one, please contribute to our Annual Fund which helps cover operation costs and food for our volunteer staff.
In total there will be 5 practice sessions (1 each night). Each session will last for 2 hours from 19.00 – 21:00 hrs.
While this event is not technically a retreat, you are more than welcome to join us in person to practice with our resident sangha. However, you must meet the following criteria:
1. You must be a resident within the European Union.
2. If you are travelling from outside Austria, you must provide official proof that you are not infected with COVID-19. All test results must be no more than 2 days old.
3. If you are travelling from within Austria, you must not have visited a high risk region (red) in the last 14 days.
If you qualify to attend, please let us know of your intention by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
